Dear Friends,
Aid to Inmate Mothers (AIM) is a nonprofit organization serving incarcerated mothers and their children across Alabama.
As we approach Mother’s Day, we are inviting you to partner with us through our “AIMing to Restore Hope” campaign. A gift of $100 helps provide meals, materials, and meaningful experiences for families participating in visitation and other services. While $100 may seem like a small request, when multiplied across our community, it allows us to continue creating meaningful moments of connection for our mothers and their children.
For nearly four decades, AIM has worked to strengthen the bond between mothers in prison and their children, helping families stay connected during one of the most difficult times in their lives. Through our monthly visitation program, children and caregivers travel to women’s prisons to spend meaningful time together. These visits allow mothers to hug their children, share meals, laugh, and simply be present, moments that are often not possible in traditional prison settings.
AIM also prepares mothers for successful reentry through parenting and life-skills classes. One of our most impactful programs, Storybook, allows mothers to record themselves reading a book aloud, giving their child the opportunity to hear their mother’s voice and feel connected, even while apart.
Most importantly, we ask for your continued prayers for the mothers and children we serve that they may remain strong, connected, and supported. Thank you for your consideration. We would be honored to partner with you in restoring families across Alabama.
